Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy data ingestion pipelines using StreamSets Data Collector and Kafka to move data from source systems for reporting and analysis.
• Process and transform data using SQL and PL/SQL procedures to prepare data for reporting and dashboards.
• Orchestrate and automate data ingestion pipelines to ensure timely data loads with minimal manual intervention.
• Design and implement star schema data models, including partitioning and distribution strategies, to organise data for efficient reporting and analysis.
• Create semantic layers and data marts to make data accessible for reporting and business use.
• Build aggregate tables to improve the speed and performance of reports and dashboards.
• Design and develop Tableau dashboards and visualisations to present business KPIs and performance metrics clearly.
• Create Tableau data models and compose sheets to support meaningful data analysis.
• Develop Tableau workbooks using containers, parameters, and automated data extracts to deliver reliable and user-friendly dashboards.
• Monitor the data integration platform and applications to ensure systems operate smoothly and reliably.
• Maintain system logs and troubleshoot issues to support stable platform operations.
• Perform security updates and system patching to maintain system security and stability.
• Analyse data and define KPIs to support business performance tracking.
• Work with business users to gather requirements and manage expectations, ensuring solutions meet business needs.
• Plan project activities and resolve dependencies to support timely delivery of data integration projects.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• Relevant certifications in data integration, data modeling, or analytics are preferred.
• 5-7 years of overall experience, with 3-5 years in a relevant data engineering or analytics engineering role.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Applications, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with StreamSets Data Collector, Kafka, DBT, Apache Airflow, PostgreSQL with Citus, and Tableau.
• Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
• Proven experience designing and developing end-to-end data integration pipelines.
• Experience with data visualization and dashboard development in Tableau.
• Familiarity with data governance practices and data quality frameworks.
• Ability to work with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Experience in the software industry with a focus on database, data integration, and reporting; aviation or airport industry experience is an advantage.
• Proficiency in standard productivity tools including Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) to support project reporting and stakeholder communication.
