A leading real estate semi-government organization seeks an experienced Project Manager with a strong finance background to lead strategic finance transformation projects. The role involves end-to-end delivery of complex initiatives, managing cross-functional teams, and reporting to senior leadership.

Responsibilities
- Lead the end to end delivery of strategic Finance projects, ensuring successful execution within scope, budget and agreed timelines
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, governance structures and project plans in partnership with key stakeholders
- Select and apply the most appropriate project delivery methodology, including Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, Kanban or hybrid approaches
- Establish robust project governance, including steering committees, RAID logs, reporting frameworks and escalation processes
- Drive delivery across cross functional teams including Finance, Treasury, IT, Tax, Legal and external implementation partners
- Proactively manage project risks, issues and dependencies, implementing mitigation strategies to maintain project momentum
- Lead projects through high pressure or rapidly changing situations, effectively stabilising delivery and resolving critical issues
- Monitor project performance using recognised project management tools and dashboards, ensuring timely reporting to senior leadership
- Prepare executive level status reports, presentations and steering committee packs for senior stakeholders
- Conduct post project reviews and embed lessons learned to continuously improve project delivery standards
- Champion project management best practices, governance frameworks and standardised delivery methodologies across Finance initiatives
- Coordinate resources across multiple concurrent projects while fostering collaboration and accountability within matrixed teams
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or a related discipline
- PMP certification is essential
- 6 8+ years of project management experience delivering complex Finance projects within large corporate environments
- Demonstrated experience leading high profile, business critical projects with exposure to executive leadership
- Proven experience managing Finance transformation, process improvement, systems implementation or strategic change initiatives
- Strong understanding of both traditional and Agile project management methodologies
- Advanced knowledge of project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet and Power BI
- Excellent financial acumen with experience managing project budgets, forecasting and financial reporting
- Strong governance, risk management and RAID management experience
- Exceptional stakeholder management, communication and presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining exceptional attention to detail

Overview
- We are partnering with a leading real estate semi government organisation seeking a highly driven Project Manager to lead strategic Finance transformation projects, working closely with senior leadership to deliver high impact initiatives across the business.
- This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast paced environment, can confidently manage multiple stakeholders, and has the ability to navigate complex projects from inception through to successful delivery.
- The role is a 12 month renewable contract.

- Proven experience managing Finance transformation, process improvement, systems implementation or strategic change initiatives, particularly from a real estate background.

- Advanced knowledge of project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet and Power BI.
- Excellent financial acumen with experience managing project budgets, forecasting and financial reporting.
