Responsibilities
- Assist the Lead Credit Manager in managing credit facilities and financial lines for the trading desk
- Collaborate within the credit department to provide data and analysis to help set risk appetite for the trading desk
- Coordinate with operations and finance teams to manage cash flow
- Conduct credit assessments of customers and suppliers on a periodic and ad hoc basis
- Work closely with traders to ensure payments from customers are received on time
- Perform compliance checks and ensure alignment with relevant regulations
- Provide supporting data and analytics at the portfolio and segment levels for monitoring and policy adjustments
- Generate data for Credit Risk Reporting and Portfolio Quality Review, including ad hoc reporting
- Assess risks appropriately in business decisions to safeguard the company, clients, and assets
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
- Minimum of 5 7 years of experience in credit analysis, risk assessment, or a related field
- Strong understanding of credit management and cash flow processes
- Experience in data analysis and reporting, with proficiency in credit and risk management tools
- Knowledge and understanding of shipping operations, international trade, trade credit insurance
- Previous experience working in a bunker trading house, shipping company or credit rating agencies specialized in the shipping domain is mandatory

Job Summary
- The Senior Credit Analyst will play a crucial role in managing credit facilities, performing customer credit risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with financial policies.
- This role involves working closely with the Lead Credit Manager to support the trading desk by analyzing credit data, conducting credit risk assessments, and contributing to collections and cash flow management.
- The Senior Credit Analyst will partner with risk and operations teams to achieve sustainable financial goals while adhering to the company’s policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Lead Credit Manager in managing credit facilities and financial lines for the trading desk, focusing on processes related to credit and cash flow management.
- Collaborate within the credit department to provide data and analysis, helping to set risk appetite for the trading desk.
- Coordinate with operations and finance teams to manage cash flow.
- Work with the Lead Credit Manager to conduct credit assessments of customers and suppliers on a periodic as well as an ad hoc basis.
- Work closely with traders to ensure payments from customers are received on time.
- Perform compliance checks and ensure alignment with relevant regulations.
- Provide supporting data and analytics at the portfolio and segment levels for monitoring and policy adjustments, aimed at managing risks and maximizing rewards.
- Generate data for Credit Risk Reporting and Portfolio Quality Review, including ad hoc reporting as needed by Lead Credit Manager.
- Assess risks appropriately in business decisions to safeguard the company, clients, and assets, ensuring process compliance and adherence to policy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 7 years of experience in credit analysis, risk assessment, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of credit management and cash flow processes.
- Experience in data analysis and reporting, with proficiency in credit and risk management tools.
