Role Overview

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Senior Cost Manager and/or Quantity Surveyor to act as a key day-to-day client interface.

The role supports cost consultancy services on large-scale semiconductor and advanced manufacturing construction projects.

Responsibilities

  • Estimate and negotiate change orders and prepare, update, and present cost plans through design and construction milestones.
  • Review estimates with design teams and the general contractor, reconcile changes, validate data, and prepare cost updates and forecasts.
  • Coordinate contractor, supplier, subcontractor, and design team cost information for cost discussions.
  • Provide commercial input on engineering priorities, design optioneering, value management, and value engineering.
  • Manage cost checks, valuations, post-contract variances, contingency, commitment tracking, cost audits, validation, and change control.
  • Prepare funding presentations, coordinate value engineering sessions, produce monthly cost reports, and negotiate final accounts.
  • Compile built cost records for benchmarking, mentor talent, track commission financial performance, and use company systems and methodologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Cost Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a construction-related field.
  • At least 5-7 years of relevant experience in construction cost management.
  • Experience leading cost management on medium- or large-sized, medium- to high-complexity construction projects.
  • Good knowledge of procurement routes, value management, and value engineering.
  • Strong communication, leadership, client-facing, and independent working capabilities.
  • Experience in semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, industrial, cleanroom, or construction consultancy environments is preferred.
  • RICS accreditation or progress toward accreditation is preferred.
