Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Senior Cost Manager to join its team.
The role focuses on pre-contract cost management in the commercial real estate sector.
The position supports delivery within scope, schedule, budget, and required quality.
Responsibilities
- Lead pre-contract cost management responsibilities.
- Advise on cost-effective solutions, including value engineering.
- Conduct risk assessments and manage contingency budgets.
- Prepare reports highlighting project budget deviations.
- Review preliminaries, overheads, materials, and other project costs.
- Ensure compliance with standards, client requirements, and regulatory bodies.
- Mentor junior cost managers and coordinate with clients and stakeholders.
Education and Experience
- A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is required.
- Professional accreditation such as MRICS, AIQS, or equivalent is highly preferred.
- At least 10 years of cost management experience, focused on pre-contract work, is required.
- UAE market experience is mandatory.
- Candidates should have led multiple projects independently and worked in client-facing roles.
Technical and Leadership Skills
- Knowledge of local cost benchmarks is required.
- Proficiency in cost planning, estimating, and tender documentation is required.
- Candidates should present cost strategies and reports to clients and senior stakeholders.
- Understanding of NRM, POMI, CESMM, or similar measurement methods is required.
- Experience with CostX or similar measurement software is required.
- The role requires analytical, problem-solving, mentoring, and multidisciplinary coordination skills.
