Job Purpose and Scope

The Contract Manager is responsible for end-to-end administration and management of the EPC contract.

The role covers contractual, commercial, legal, risk, HSSE, change-management, site-execution, and close-out obligations.

The position supports offshore detailed engineering projects from contract award through execution and completion.

EPC Contract Management

  • Establish and manage the EPC contract baseline, requirements, responsibilities, procedures, controls, and compliance obligations.
  • Draft, review, negotiate, interpret, administer, and enforce contracts while protecting the company’s commercial interests.
  • Coordinate among project teams, clients, subcontractors, and legal or commercial departments.

Tender and Mobilization

  • Review invitation-to-tender documents, identify commercial and contractual risks, and support bid preparation and pricing strategy.
  • Lead or support negotiations and develop contract deviation lists and qualifications.
  • Lead contract kick-off meetings covering administration, change management, notices, payments, accounting, and certification.

Change, Risk, and Claims

  • Manage variations, change notices, requests for change, change orders, amendments, and claims.
  • Assess entitlement, risk, and commercial exposure and negotiate change proposals with stakeholders.
  • Prepare and submit substantiated claims, defend against claims, and support negotiation, mediation, or arbitration when needed.
  • Identify and mitigate contractual, financial, and legal risks.

Subcontracts and Reporting

  • Draft and administer engineering-services subcontracts and flow down appropriate contractual terms.
  • Process payment certificates and invoices and prepare monthly EPC and subcontract administration reports.
  • Maintain registers for correspondence, changes, claims, notifications, and project records.

Close-out and Authority

  • Lead contract close-out, including final accounts, completion and closure certificates, claims settlement, obligation fulfillment, and document archiving.
  • Act on behalf of Worley for contract administration matters within approved project delegations.
  • Provide commercial and contractual advice to project management, engineering, procurement, and construction teams.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor of Engineering in a relevant discipline from a recognized institute or university.
  • Twenty years of oil and gas industry experience on mega projects, particularly in a GCC environment.
  • Experience in EPC contract management for offshore detailed engineering projects.
  • Experience with contract drafting, negotiation, administration, commercial controls, risk, claims, and subcontract management.
