Role Overview

The Contract Services Team delivers contract development, contract management, and dispute resolution and claims management services across the region.

The role supports clients with claims and dispute management advice and contributes to the growth of the Contract Services division.

Role Responsibilities

  • Deliver contract development, contract management, and claims and dispute management services.
  • Support regional subject matter experts and provide best-in-class claims and dispute management advice.
  • Prepare and support major bid proposals.
  • Provide consultancy services on live contracts and projects in distress where applicable.

Experience Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with standard forms of contract, claims management, dispute avoidance, or dispute resolution in built-environment sectors.
  • Experience in a consultancy or contractor organization and across varied construction sectors and project types.
  • Strong contract administration and commercial management experience on major projects.
  • Experience with FIDIC and other standard-form contracts and related processes.
  • Experience compiling claim reports and working with arbitration and/or litigation processes.
  • Experience with performance forensics from a quantum or delay background.
  • Client-facing experience with strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience providing consultancy services on live contracts and distressed projects is advantageous.
  • Ability to prepare and support major bid proposals.

Qualifications

  • A degree in quantity surveying, civil engineering, or construction management is required.
  • An MSc in Construction Law or a similar qualification is desirable, including candidates currently undertaking it.
  • MCIArb, MCIOB, MRICS, or FRICS chartered status is preferred.
