Job Overview

  • The Global Growth organization is chartering the future for Lyft’s growth, focused on expanding Lyft beyond North American rideshare’s core products.
  • This role blends strong business acumen, marketplace dynamics, and strategic understanding of regulatory landscapes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform rigorous product deep dives, identify opportunities for product enhancements, and measure the impact of new features.
  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers to build the roadmap for business and product expansion.
  • Define Lyft’s strategy for where and how Lyft expands its footprint around the world.
  • Size the opportunity, scope the unique products required, and act as a liaison to central marketplace teams.
  • Analyze how global expansion impacts current North American rideshare users.
  • Assess competitive landscape in future geographies and its impact on growth strategy.
  • Determine product developments needed to successfully expand and gain market share.
  • Align global expansion with future autonomous hybrid marketplace growth plans.

Experience

  • 6+ years experience in management consulting, strategic data science/analytics roles in a technology company, or an equivalent analytical role in a high growth startup.
  • Experience in leading high visibility projects and influencing others in a cross functional team environment.
  • Experience in communicating with and presenting to senior leaders and data storytelling.
  • Strong ability in building decision making frameworks and data analysis.
  • Entrepreneurial self starter you naturally take ownership, look for opportunities, and drive results.

Skills

  • Ability to independently break down large datasets and synthesize inputs from multiple sources.
  • Ability to think strategically about complex and unstructured business problems.
  • Ability to craft a compelling story and concisely present recommendations across teams and levels.
  • Ability to manage, influence, negotiate, and inspire others in a fast moving and ambiguous environment.
  • Ability to use data visualization tools to provide actionable insights and reusable frameworks.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong product and user experience sense.
  • Excellent organization, planning skills, and attention to detail.
  • Advanced analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Proficiency in SQL.

Work Model

  • This role will be in office on a hybrid schedule — team members expected to work in the office at least 3 days per week, including on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
  • Hybrid roles have the flexibility to work from anywhere for up to 4 weeks per year.

Compensation

  • The expected base pay range for this position in the Toronto area is CAD 129,000 CAD 161,250, not inclusive of potential equity offering, bonus or benefits.
