Role Overview
The role is for a Senior Accountant specializing in electromechanical-related accounting.
Relevant current or recent industries include electromechanical, MEP, construction, contracting, engineering, HVAC, and facilities management.
Required Experience
- At least 10 years of total accounting experience is required.
- At least 5 years of UAE accounting experience is required.
- Current or recent experience in an electromechanical, MEP, construction, contracting, engineering, HVAC, or facilities management environment is required.
- Strong project accounting and job costing experience is required.
- UAE VAT experience is mandatory.
- Strong general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, and month-end closing experience is required.
- Experience with ERP or accounting software is required.
- Good Excel and reporting skills are required.
Preferred Experience
- Construction or MEP project accounting experience is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform project accounting and job costing for electromechanical, MEP, construction, or related projects.
- Manage general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable activities.
- Complete bank reconciliations and month-end closing activities.
- Prepare accounting reports using ERP or accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
