Manage day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial records, project/job costing, UAE statutory compliance, and timely financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain
General Ledger
, journal entries, trial balance, and supporting schedules.
- Manage
Accounts Payable & Receivable
, including invoice verification, reconciliations, collections, and supplier/customer statements.
- Handle
project/job costing
for Mechanical, Electrical, and AMC projects; track revenue, expenses, budgets, and profitability.
- Perform
monthly bank reconciliations
and support cash-flow, LC, and bank guarantee requirements.
- Prepare
UAE VAT returns
and maintain FTA records; support Corporate Tax and other statutory compliance.
- Support
month-end/year-end closing
, P&L, balance sheet schedules, variance analysis, and MIS reporting.
- Maintain
fixed asset register
and depreciation schedules.
- Prepare audit schedules, respond to auditor queries, and support internal controls.
- Guide and review
Junior Accountants And Accounts Assistants
and support process improvements.
Requirements
- Minimum 7-10
years of accounting experience
, preferably in
Electromechanical, MEP, Interior Fit-out, Construction, or Contracting companies
.
- Must have experience working in a
project-based business environment
.
- Strong experience in
project/job costing, project-wise P&L, budget vs. actual, revenue and expense tracking, and cost allocation
.
- UAE experience with
VAT, Corporate Tax, month-end closing, AP/AR, GL, bank reconciliation, and audit
is preferred.
- Experience coordinating with
Project Managers, Site Engineers, Procurement and Operations teams
is an advantage.
