Role Overview

The company is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join its finance team in Dubai.

The role manages financial transactions, maintains accurate accounting records, and supports compliance with company policies and regulations.

Financial Reporting and Close

  • Prepare and review balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and other financial statements.
  • Ensure financial reports are accurate, timely, and compliant with accounting standards such as GAAP and IFRS.
  • Oversee the general ledger and ensure transactions are properly recorded and reconciled.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.

Reconciliations and Planning

  • Reconcile bank accounts, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other financial accounts.
  • Prepare budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Analyze financial data and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
  • Monitor and analyze costs and identify improvement or cost-saving opportunities.

Audit, Tax, and Process Improvement

  • Coordinate and assist with internal and external audits.
  • Ensure compliance with tax laws and other financial regulations.
  • Prepare and file tax returns and monitor changes to tax laws affecting the organization.
  • Evaluate accounting processes and recommend improvements for efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements

  • CPA or CA certification is mandatory.
  • Five to seven years of accounting experience, including at least two years in the UAE, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency is mandatory.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills for building relationships with clients and internal departments.
  • Expertise in working with financial statements.
