Seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team in Dubai.
Responsible for managing various financial transactions, maintaining accurate accounting records, and ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure that financial reports are accurate, timely, and in compliance with accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS, etc.).
- Oversee the general ledger and ensure all transactions are properly recorded and reconciled.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
- Perform regular reconciliations of bank accounts, accounts payable/receivable, and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
- Coordinate and assist with internal and external audits.
- Ensure compliance with tax laws and other financial regulations.
- Monitor and analyze costs, identifying areas for improvement or cost-saving opportunities.
- Prepare and file tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations and stay updated on changes to tax laws that might impact the organization.
- Evaluate accounting processes and recommend improvements for efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements
- Certification: CPA or CA is mandatory
- 5-7 years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in the UAE, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in advanced Excel is mandatory.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics.
