Role Overview
BAYAN MEDICAL COMPANY is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its finance team in Dubai.
The role manages financial transactions, accounting records, reporting, compliance, and process improvements.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare and review balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and other financial statements.
- Ensure financial reports are accurate, timely, and compliant with accounting standards such as GAAP and IFRS.
- Oversee the general ledger and ensure transactions are properly recorded and reconciled.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
- Reconcile bank accounts, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other financial accounts.
- Prepare budgets and financial forecasts.
- Analyze financial data and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
- Coordinate and assist with internal and external audits.
- Ensure compliance with tax laws and other financial regulations.
- Monitor costs and identify improvement or cost-saving opportunities.
- Prepare and file tax returns and monitor changes to tax laws.
- Evaluate accounting processes and recommend efficiency and accuracy improvements.
Requirements
- CPA or CA certification is mandatory.
- 5-7 years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in the UAE.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Advanced Excel proficiency is mandatory.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics.
