Role overview

The Senior Accountant will support financial management for Savills’ property management portfolio in Saudi Arabia.

The role covers the full accounting cycle for managed assets and supports accurate, timely financial information for landlords.

The position is based in Riyadh and includes occasional travel to managed assets within the Kingdom.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage general ledger activity, journal entries, and month-end and year-end closing for assigned properties.
  • Prepare rent and service charge invoices in line with lease terms and ZATCA e-invoicing requirements.
  • Monitor receivables, maintain aged debt reports, allocate receipts, and escalate arrears.
  • Process property-related payables against contracts, purchase orders, and approved budgets.
  • Perform bank, client account, and intercompany reconciliations under trust accounting requirements.
  • Support service charge budgets, expenditure tracking, accruals, and year-end reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly client reports covering income statements, budget variances, and cash flow.
  • Maintain compliance with VAT, withholding tax, and Zakat requirements and support audits.

Qualifications and experience

  • A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field is required.
  • Four to six years of accounting experience is required.
  • Real estate or property management experience in Saudi Arabia or the GCC is preferred.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency is essential.
  • Working knowledge of KSA VAT, ZATCA e-invoicing, and IFRS is required.
  • Fluent spoken and written English is essential; Arabic is highly preferred.
  • ERP or property management system experience, including Yardi, Oracle, or SAP, is advantageous.
  • A valid driving licence and reliable transportation are required.

  • The role requires accuracy, analytical thinking, problem solving, clear communication, and deadline management.
  • The accountant will work with landlords, property managers, auditors, tenants, leasing teams, and facilities management teams.
  • The role requires ownership of assigned entities while working collaboratively across property management functions.
