Builders Program

The Builders Program is designed for recent graduates and early-career talent with up to two years of experience.

Participants contribute directly to high-impact roles across Product, Engineering, Design, Commercial, and other functions.

The program emphasizes ownership, accelerated growth, collaboration, and meaningful customer and business impact.

About the Role

The role is for a fresh graduate or early-career Data Analyst on an analytical engineering path.

The work combines data analysis and data engineering to create trustworthy, well-modeled datasets.

The role focuses on consistent definitions, data quality, self-service analytics, and AI-ready data.

Data Modeling and Analytics

  • Model and transform data for analysis.
  • Build and maintain reusable fact and dimension datasets for reporting and self-service analytics.
  • Define, document, and align business metrics such as active user, approval rate, and default rate.
  • Answer ad hoc questions with clear analysis and explainable methodology.
  • Turn recurring questions into reusable dashboards and self-service analytics assets.

AI-Ready Analytics

  • Create well-defined datasets, metrics, and documentation that can be safely used by AI tools and people.
  • Package datasets and metrics with clear grain, business definitions, data contracts, examples, and validation guidance.
  • Write glossaries, metric definitions, common queries, and documentation of potential pitfalls.
  • Partner with AI and platform teams to ensure critical tables are discoverable, correctly permissioned, and safe to use.

Data Quality and Collaboration

  • Write tests, checks, and monitoring for key datasets and critical metrics.
  • Troubleshoot data issues and improve reliability from source to reporting.
  • Collaborate with data engineers on schema changes, event tracking, and pipeline improvements.
  • Translate ambiguous business questions into measurable analyses and communicate findings clearly.
  • Use AI tools for SQL drafting, code scaffolding, and documentation while validating outputs and protecting sensitive data.

Must-Have Expertise

  • Recent graduate or less than one year of relevant experience; internships, projects, or part-time roles count.
  • Solid SQL fundamentals, including joins, aggregations, and basic window functions.
  • Basic skills in one programming language for analysis, preferably Python.
  • Basic data manipulation and statistics skills.
  • Ability to define problems, form hypotheses, validate data, and explain results.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate, reliable outputs.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to data modeling concepts such as star schemas, slowly changing dimensions, and metrics definition.
  • Familiarity with dbt, BigQuery, Snowflake, Looker, Power BI, or Tableau through coursework or projects.
  • Experience creating AI-ready data assets or using AI assistants responsibly for analysis or analytics engineering.
  • Experience with Git or basic software engineering practices.
  • Understanding of event tracking and product analytics, including funnels, cohorts, and retention.
  • Knowledge of responsible data handling, PII basics, access controls, and safe sharing.

Success Measures

Independently produce well-structured analyses with clear assumptions and validation steps.

Contribute a reliable dataset or transformation that becomes a shared analytics building block.

Enable more self-service and AI-assisted exploration with less back-and-forth.

Make a key dataset or metric usable through AI tools with consistent, validated answers.

Spot unusual results, debug efficiently, and explain root causes.
