Role Overview
The role supports airport technology and security infrastructure across planning, design, coordination, integration, implementation, testing, commissioning, and operational readiness.
The position requires practical knowledge of ICT, ELV, security systems, airport security facilities, airside infrastructure, ORAT, and airport systems integration.
Technical Scope
- ICT scope includes structured cabling, LAN/WAN, data centers, active equipment, wireless systems, voice and IP telephony, and network security.
- Security scope includes CCTV, access control, PIDS, passenger and security screening, X-ray, explosive and metal detection, vehicle access control, ANPR, and barriers.
- ELV scope includes fire alarm, BMS, IPTV, audiovisual systems, UPS, integrated platforms, and emergency communications.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and coordinate security designs, specifications, BOQs, tender documents, and technical deliverables through design, construction, testing, and commissioning.
- Ensure compliance with ICAO, GACA, IATA, SBC, NFPA, IEC, ISO 27001, and project-specific requirements.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary interfaces and airport platform integrations.
- Monitor contractor compliance, identify technical risks and gaps, and propose mitigation measures.
- Review testing, commissioning, ORAT requirements, as-built documents, O&M manuals, and handover activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical, electronics, telecommunications, ICT, computer engineering, or a related discipline.
- Professional engineering registration with a recognized engineering body.
- At least 10 years of relevant ICT, ELV, and security systems experience, including at least 5 years on airport projects.
- Experience in consultancy, PMC, supervision consultancy, contractor, or airport operator environments.
- Strong communication, coordination, reporting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal English skills; Arabic is a plus.
- Understanding of sustainable construction practices; PMP certification is a plus.
