About the Role
Qatar Airways seeks a Security Operations Officer to oversee contract security staff, conduct patrols, and ensure compliance with aviation security regulations at Hamad International Airport.

Responsibilities
- Oversee and supervise contract security supervisors and staff, direct daily activities to ensure quality and deployment to plan
- Communicate with stakeholders regarding staff access definitions and requests
- Compile documents and statistics related to incident reports and rectifications for continuous improvement
- Create statistics and reports from Daily Shift Reports and Incident reports
- Facilitate compilation of daily shift reports and incident reports by collating data
- Assist in response to emergencies or major operational disruptions affecting HIA
- Conduct regular foot/mobile patrols at passenger terminal buildings, construction sites, apron areas, etc.
- Conduct drug and alcohol tests and carry out right of search policy as authorized
- Respond to operational accidents or incidents and report to Management immediately
- Ensure transfer security checkpoints and hold baggage screening comply with local regulations and SLA
- Ensure secondary screening duties are performed in compliance with foreign authorities’ requirements
- Supervise staff screening and man guarding positions and perform operational quality control activities
Requirements
- High School / Vocational / Diploma or equivalent with minimum 4 years of job related experience; or Bachelor's or equivalent with minimum 4 years of job related experience
- Experience in Airport / Aviation Security Background
- Excellent IT skills including MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
- Preferred to have a Driving License

About the Role

- Communicates with responsible stakeholders with regards to staff access definitions and requests.
- Support stakeholders and members within the department with regard to compiling of documents and stats in relation to incident reports and rectifications.
- Regularly creating statistics and reports from the Daily Shift Reports, Incident reports for reference purposes.
- Facilitate the compilation of daily shift reports and Incident reports by collating data.
- Assist in the response to any emergency or a major operational disruption or threat affecting HIA or its group subsidiaries.
- Regular foot/mobile patrols at passenger terminal buildings, construction sites, apron areas, midfield area and other areas.
- Conduct Drug and alcohol test (if required) and carry out right of search policy as authorized.
- Respond in case of any operational accident or incident reported both at landside and airside of terminal.
- Ensuring transfer's security checkpoints and Hold baggage screening process are delivered in compliance with local regulations.
- Ensuring secondary screening duties are performed in compliance with foreign authorities’ requirements.
- Responsible to ensure other airline security services are delivered as per foreign authorities’ requirements.
About You
- High School / Vocational / Diploma or Equivalent with minimum 4 years of Job related experience
- Bachelors or equivalent with minimum 4 years of Job related experience
- Experience in Airport / Aviation Security Background
- Excellent IT skills including MS Office (Power point, Word, Excel)
- Preferred to have a Driving License
