Security Operations Engineer
to join its growing security team.
This is a high-impact, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys bringing structure to complex environments and building scalable, well-engineered security capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage security workstreams with clear milestones and measurable outcomes
- Identify risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities across security domains
- Collaborate with infrastructure, GRC, and engineering teams to operationalise security controls
- Track metrics, remediation progress, and overall program effectiveness
Core Areas
- **Detect & Respond:**
- Support threat detection, investigations, and MSSP engagement
- **Platform Protection:**
- Manage vulnerability scanning, configurations, and monitoring coverage
- **Data Protection:**
- Support DLP, data classification, and policy improvements
- **IAM:**
- Assist with access controls, provisioning, and automation
- **Asset Management & Threat Intelligence:**
- Improve visibility, inventory, and threat awareness
- **Secure Culture:**
- Support awareness training and phishing simulations
Requirements
- Strong knowledge in security operations, engineering, or similar
- Hands-on experience with security tools (SIEM, EDR, DLP, etc.)
- Exposure to cloud security environments
- Basic scripting/automation (Python, PowerShell)
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals and threats
