- Ensure vendor invoices are coded correctly and customer invoices are issued promptly
- Prepare detailed monthly income statements and balance sheet analytics
- Manage preparation of statutory financial statements and oversee annual statutory audit

- Support local leadership with operational and financial analysis
- Collaborate with financial planning and analysis team on monthly analytics and ad hoc projects
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in accounting or related field
- Certified or Chartered Accountant qualification mandatory
- Experience gained within both Big 4 firms and private industry highly desirable
- Background working in large multinational businesses across multiple geographical entities preferred
- Advanced knowledge of local statutory GAAP essential
- Comprehensive understanding of local statutory tax compliance obligations required
- Basic knowledge of US GAAP preferred
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Arabic required
- Advanced Excel skills necessary

What you'll do
- Oversee the month end close process with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring all financial information is accurate and compliant with local GAAP as well as internal deadlines.
- Coordinate closely with the corporate accounting team on US GAAP adjustments and ensure seamless integration of local financial data into global reporting cycles.
- Adhere strictly to established close checklists, review journal entries for accuracy, and prepare comprehensive monthly account reconciliations.
- Review customer contracts thoroughly, translate key terms into English, and collaborate with the corporate accounting team on revenue recognition and broker compensation matters.
- Work alongside local teams to ensure vendor invoices are coded correctly and customer invoices are issued promptly in accordance with contract terms.
- Prepare detailed monthly income statements and balance sheet analytics to provide clear insights into financial performance.
- Manage the preparation of statutory financial statements in line with local GAAP requirements and oversee the annual statutory audit process from start to finish.
- Ensure full compliance with local statutory tax obligations by coordinating filings with both the corporate tax team and external advisors.
- Support local leadership by providing timely operational and financial analysis tailored to evolving business needs.
- Collaborate effectively with the financial planning and analysis team on monthly analytics, reporting tasks, and ad hoc projects as required.
What you bring
- Bachelor's Degree in accounting or related field is required, demonstrating a solid academic foundation for this role.
- Certified or Chartered Accountant qualification is mandatory, reflecting your commitment to professional standards.
- Experience gained within both Big 4 firms and private industry is highly desirable for its breadth of perspective.
- Background working in large multinational businesses across multiple geographical entities is preferred for this globally connected role.
- Familiarity with multi function shared services or offshore environments would be advantageous for navigating complex organisational structures.
- Advanced knowledge of local statutory GAAP is essential for maintaining compliance in all reporting activities.
- Comprehensive understanding of local statutory tax compliance obligations is required to manage regulatory filings effectively.
- Basic knowledge of US GAAP is preferred to facilitate coordination with corporate teams abroad.
- Strong communication skills paired with impeccable attention to detail enable you to deliver high quality outputs under pressure.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Arabic is required for effective collaboration across borders.
- Advanced Excel skills are necessary for robust data analysis; experience using Oracle, Coupa, or FloQast would be beneficial.
