Position Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise all hotel security operations on a 24/7 basis.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures and standard operating practices.
  • Ensure adequate security coverage for all areas of the hotel, including guest rooms, public areas, restaurants, bars, parking facilities, back of house areas and event spaces.
  • Conduct regular patrols and inspections to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Monitor security systems, CCTV operations, access control systems, alarms and surveillance equipment.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability analyses.
  • Develop and implement loss prevention strategies to minimise theft, fraud and property damage.
  • Investigate incidents involving theft, misconduct, accidents, security breaches or suspicious activities.
  • Prepare detailed incident reports and recommend corrective actions.
  • Lead emergency response planning and execution.
  • Ensure preparedness for fire emergencies, medical incidents, natural disasters, security threats and evacuation procedures.
  • Coordinate emergency drills and training programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Business Administration, Hospitality Management or a related field.
  • Valid SIRA Manager/Supervisor Certification is required.
  • Professional security certifications are preferred.
  • UAE driving license is an advantage.

Experience Required

  • Minimum 8–10 years of progressive experience in hotel security operations, with at least 3–5 years in a Security Manager position within a luxury hotel environment.
  • Previous experience with Marriott International properties is mandatory, preferably within luxury brands such as The Dubai EDITION, The Ritz Carlton, St. Regis, W Hotels or JW Marriott.
  • Valid SIRA Certification (Security Industry Regulatory Agency – Dubai) is mandatory for this role.
  • Thorough understanding of SIRA regulations, Dubai security compliance requirements and UAE hospitality security standards.
  • Strong knowledge of Marriott security standards, brand requirements, emergency response procedures and loss prevention programs.
  • Experience managing security operations in luxury hotels with multiple outlets, event spaces, VIP guests and high profile clients.
  • Proven experience coordinating with local authorities, police, civil defence and emergency services within the UAE.
  • Hands on experience with CCTV systems, access control systems, incident investigations, risk assessments and crisis management.
