Responsibilities
- Welcome guests with a warm, professional and friendly attitude
- Escort guests to their tables and present menus

- Maintain an accurate waitlist and provide realistic waiting times during peak periods
- Handle restaurant reservations via phone, email and reservation platforms
- Confirm daily reservations and accommodate special requests
- Maintain accurate guest records and preferences where applicable
- Address guest inquiries and resolve concerns professionally
- Manage restaurant reservations using SevenRooms system
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Hostess, Guest Relations Executive or Receptionist in a luxury hotel or fine dining restaurant
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Hotel Management or related field preferred
- Experience using restaurant reservation systems (e.g., SevenRooms)
- Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Office and restaurant reservation/POS systems

Position Summary
- The Hostess is the first point of contact for guests and plays a key role in creating a warm, welcoming and memorable dining experience.
- Responsible for greeting guests, managing reservations, coordinating seating arrangements and ensuring smooth guest flow while delivering exceptional service in line with EDITION brand standards.
Key Responsibilities Guest Reception & Seating
- Welcome guests with a warm, professional and friendly attitude.
- Escort guests to their tables and present menus.
- Manage the restaurant seating plan to maximise efficiency and guest comfort.
- Coordinate with the restaurant team to ensure timely table turnover.
- Maintain an accurate waitlist and provide realistic waiting times during peak periods.
- Assist guests with special seating requests whenever possible.
Key Responsibilities Reservations & Guest Relations
- Handle restaurant reservations via phone, email and reservation platforms.
- Confirm daily reservations and accommodate special requests.
- Maintain accurate guest records and preferences where applicable.
- Address guest inquiries and resolve concerns professionally or escalate when necessary.
- Build positive relationships with guests to encourage repeat visits.
- Manage restaurant reservations efficiently using the SevenRooms reservation system.
Key Responsibilities Restaurant Operations
- Ensure the reception and waiting areas are clean, organised, and presentable at all times.
- Coordinate closely with servers, bartenders, and restaurant supervisors to optimise service flow.
- Monitor restaurant occupancy and communicate updates to the management team.
- Support the Food & Beverage team during busy service periods.
- Ensure menus, promotional materials and signage are up to date.
Key Responsibilities Service Excellence
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of restaurant menus, promotions, operating hours and hotel facilities.
- Promote hotel dining outlets and special events.
- Deliver personalised service that reflects the luxury standards of The Dubai EDITION.
- Maintain professional grooming and appearance in accordance with hotel standards.
Key Responsibilities Health, Safety & Compliance
- Follow hotel hygiene, health and safety policies.
- Maintain confidentiality of guest information.
- Adhere to hotel policies, procedures and service standards.
Qualifications
- A diploma or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Hotel Management or a related field is preferred.
- Professional hospitality training is an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Hostess, Guest Relations Executive or Receptionist in a luxury hotel or fine dining restaurant.
- Previous experience in a five star hotel or upscale restaurant is preferred.
- Experience using restaurant reservation systems is an advantage.
