Role Overview

  • The Network Optimisation and Schedules Integration Manager will manage and represent Commercial Planning at the Network Control Centre (NCC).
  • Be jointly responsible for planning and decision making at the NCC to achieve commercial and corporate objectives.
  • Design and develop operating procedures and process manuals for schedule adjustments.

Generic Responsibilities

  • Audit performance of Network Optimisation & Charters Controllers and provide commercial input.
  • Devise procedures, write business process manuals, and provide expertise for time bound decisions.
  • Identify high/low demand flights and recommend aircraft re assignment options.
  • Influence stakeholders to develop alternatives and gain buy in for changes.
  • Establish patterns of aircraft swaps and formulate trends for strategic decision making.
  • Monitor weak performing flights and lead tactical price changes with commercial operations.
  • Negotiate with Area Managers and senior management to improve loads or recommend flight cancellation.
  • Seek and negotiate with aeronautical authorities and airport slot coordinators for landing permissions.
  • Manage spare aircraft time to launch extra sections during high season and major events.
  • Manage production of Emirates public timetables on a seasonal basis.
  • Coordinate with printers on design and layout of timetables.

NCC/Network Optimisation Responsibilities

  • Steer activities of operational stakeholders towards incremental revenue/cost saving opportunities.
  • Manage, evaluate, and address operational constraints impacting commercial objectives.
  • Identify threats and opportunities during disruptions and lead recovery plans.
  • Represent Commercial Planning at the Flight Disruption Unit (FDU) and contingency response plans.
  • Project manage charter flights throughout their life cycle.
  • Evaluate and manage night curfew and slot constraints at various airports.

Business Systems Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, and coordinate with EGIT to ensure ENCOM, CSR, and other systems are functional and up to date.
