Job Description
The SAP SD & TM Consultant will act as the internal solution owner for Order‑to‑Cash and transportation management processes within Cummins Arabia’s SAP S/4HANA program.
The role is responsible for owning sales, distribution, and transportation business requirements, validating SI solution designs, and ensuring seamless integration between sales execution, logistics, and freight management.
The consultant will serve as the primary interface between business stakeholders and the SI to ensure compliant, efficient, and scalable end‑to‑end solutions.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or Information Technology.
- Minimum 7-10 years of hands-on experience in SAP SD, TM implementation and support.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end Order-to-Cash, transportation planning, freight management and logistics execution processes.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA SD and embedded TM is highly preferred.
- SAP SD, TM certification is a plus.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong expertise in SAP SD and SAP TM configuration and cross-module integration.
- Solid understanding of delivery-based transportation planning and freight cost integration with billing.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
- Familiarity with transportation KPIs, freight cost control, and logistics analytics.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in industrial, manufacturing, or distribution environments.
- Exposure to global logistics networks, 3PL coordination, and customs documentation.
- Understanding of freight tendering, carrier performance tracking, dispute resolution, and customer billing reconciliation.
- Experience supporting compliance, audit, and control frameworks in sales and logistics processes.
Solution Design & Implementation
- Own and govern end‑to‑end SAP SD and TM solution design and validate SI delivery against approved business requirements.
- Review and approve SAP SD solution designs and configurations delivered by SI, including:
- Sales Order Management, Quotation, Pricing, Delivery Processing, Billing, Credit Management, and Returns.
- Customer Master Data, Condition Records, and Output Determination.
- Validate SAP TM solution designs and transportation configurations proposed by SI, including:
- Freight Order Management, Freight Unit Building, Carrier Selection, and Tendering
- Transportation Planning and Execution
- Route Optimization and Scheduling
- Freight Cost Calculation, Settlement, and Dispute Management
- Ensure seamless integration between SAP SD and SAP TM for delivery-based transportation planning and freight cost integration.
- Validate and govern integration design between SAP SD, TM, and other SAP modules and external logistics systems.
Business Process Alignment
- Collaborate with sales, customer service, logistics, warehouse, finance, and procurement teams to understand business processes and translate them into SAP SD and TM solutions.
- Own end‑to‑end Order‑to‑Cash and transportation business requirements and ensure full traceability to SI solution design.
- Support end-to-end scenarios including:
- Order-to-Cash (O2C) execution
- Inbound and outbound logistics
- Third-party, intercompany, and service-based sales
- 3PL and carrier integration, including multi-modal transportation
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, revenue recognition, customs and trade requirements, and freight audit controls.
Project Execution & Support
- Work closely with SI, validate the SI deliverables and provide sign off for further phase to start.
- Participate in SAP Activate methodology phases: Discover, Prepare, Explore, Realize, Deploy, and Run.
- Own O2C and transportation business scenario validation and formally approve SI test results.
- Provide post-implementation support and drive continuous improvement in transportation and logistics operations.
Documentation & Training
- Review, validate, and approve functional specifications, integration designs, and process flows prepared by the SI.
- Develop, validate and maintain training materials and user guides.
- Conduct training sessions for sales teams, customer service users, logistics planners, and transportation coordinators.
