Responsibilities
- Establish and develop productive customer relations, ensuring prompt and efficient attention to customer needs
- Apply documented procedures to complete diagnostics, complex repairs, and assembly/disassembly of power generation units
- Identify technical issues and take preventive actions
- Complete required documentation (service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, quality documents)
- Identify additional sales and service opportunities with customers
- Maintain service vehicle and tools for cleanliness and proper operation
- Adhere to Health, Safety & Environmental and Quality policies
- Coach less experienced technicians and provide work direction
- Assist supervisor/service manager in organizing headcount and overtime
- Lead, deliver, and contribute to Toolbox Talks
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as Service Technician
- Strong electrical knowledge, especially gensets, balance of plant, power generation, AVR, ATS
- Cummins Control Systems knowledge (PCC, Insite, Inpower, C command; DMC is a plus)
- Other control systems knowledge (DEEPSEA, DEIF, COMAP, MODBUS) is a plus
- Customer field service experience, team player, positive attitude
- Commissioning, site testing, loadbank experience

Job Summary
- Customer facing technical specialist proficient in Power Generation systems.
- Performs advanced diagnostics, complex problem solving, troubleshooting, complex repairs, rebuilds, and preventative maintenance on power generation systems.
Key Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as Service Technician.
- Strong electrical knowledge, especially gensets, balance of plant, power generation, AVR, ATS.
- Cummins Control Systems knowledge (PCC, Insite, Inpower, C command; DMC is a plus).
- Other control systems (DEEPSEA, DEIF, COMAP, MODBUS) is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

- Escalates key customer or market information to Supervisor.
- Applies documented procedures to complete diagnostics, complex repairs, and assembly/disassembly of power generation units.
- Identifies technical issues and takes preventive actions.
- Identifies opportunities for work process improvements.
- Escalates unresolved issues to product specialists, DFSE, or supervisor.
- Independently provides training or introductions on product promotion.
- Completes required documentation.
- Identifies additional sales and service opportunities.
- Communicates effectively with team and support teams.
- Ensures adherence to adjustments on work location, job responsibilities.
- Maintains service vehicle and tools.
