Responsibilities
- Perform advanced diagnostics, complex repairs, and preventative maintenance on power generation systems
- Establish and maintain productive customer relations
- Complete required documentation such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims
- Identify additional sales and service opportunities with customers
- Maintain service vehicle and tools for cleanliness and proper operation
- Adhere to Health, Safety & Environmental policies and report issues
- Coach less experienced technicians and provide work direction
- Lead and contribute to Toolbox Talks
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as Service Technician
- Strong electrical knowledge of gensets, balance of plant, power generation, AVR, ATS
- Cummins Control Systems knowledge (PCC, Insite, Inpower, C command)
- Customer field service experience
- Commissioning, site testing, loadbank experience
- Ability to coach less experienced technicians

Job Summary
- A customer facing technical specialist proficient in Power Generation systems, performing advanced diagnostics, complex repairs, and preventative maintenance.
Key Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as Service Technician
- Strong electrical knowledge of gensets, balance of plant, power generation, AVR, ATS
- Cummins Control Systems knowledge (PCC, Insite, Inpower, C command)
- Other control systems such as DEEPSEA, DEIF, COMAP, MODBUS are a plus
- Customer field service experience, team player, positive attitude
- Commissioning, site testing, loadbank experience
Key Responsibilities
- Establishes and develops productive customer relations
- Applies procedures to complete diagnostics, complex repairs, and assembly/disassembly of power generation units
- Identifies technical issues and takes preventive actions
- Identifies opportunities for work process improvements
- Escalates unresolved issues to product specialists or supervisor
- Provides training on product promotion to field customers
- Completes required documentation
- Identifies additional sales and service opportunities
- Communicates effectively with team and support teams
- Maintains service vehicle and tools
- Adheres to Health, Safety & Environmental policies
- Coaches less experienced technicians
Technical Skills
- Service Documentation Creates and verifies customer, equipment and technical information
- Technical Escalation Obtains product technical issue information and utilizes resources
