About the Role

Responsibilities
- Develop, manage and grow Travel Agent and Tour Operator accounts in the UK and focus on Consortia in the Americas, in line with the hotel's commercial strategy.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with key local DMCs for the assigned markets.
- Implement and execute sales objectives and action plans to meet and exceed targets.
- Ensure all plans and activities are aligned to achieve the overall commercial strategy.
- Review direct competition and maintain complete market awareness.
- Constantly monitor market trends, competitor activities, threats and opportunities.
- Understand the broader market landscape, including economic trends, supply and demand, and competitor strengths and weaknesses, and sell effectively against them.
- Analyse account production and segment performance, identifying opportunities and implementing strategies to maximise revenue and mitigate potential shortfalls.
- Generate, manage and grow accounts and assigned segments through proactive sales activities.
- Service customers to drive share of wallet and ensure long term loyalty.
Requirements
- Senior school qualification.
- Degree or Higher National Diploma in Hospitality, Hotel Management or Business Management.
- Minimum two years' experience in a Sales Manager or senior sales role within a luxury or five star hotel environment, with a proven track record of achieving revenue targets.
- Experience representing the hotel at trade shows, sales missions and industry events.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to develop and execute sales strategies and account plans.
- Excellent negotiation, communication and presentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and hotel sales systems.
- Ability to analyse business performance and identify revenue opportunities.
- Self motivated with the ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Excellent planning, organisation and time management skills.
- Positive attitude with a proactive and solution oriented approach.

Job Purpose
- As Sales Manager you will be responsible for leading the development and growth of assigned market segments and key accounts, working closely with the Director of Sales to drive business and achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly and annual revenue targets.
- Manages activities related to the sales functions with a focus on building long term, value based customer relationships that enable achievement of property sales objectives.
- Achieves personal booking goals, contributes to overall team performance, and supports the implementation and execution of sales strategies, account plans and commercial initiatives.
