Job Purpose

  • As Sales Manager you will be responsible for leading the development and growth of assigned market segments and key accounts.
  • Work closely with the Director of Sales to drive business and achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly and annual revenue targets.
  • Manage activities related to the sales functions with a focus on building long term, value based customer relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage and grow Travel Agent and Tour Operator accounts in the UK and focus on Consortia in the Americas.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with key local DMCs for the assigned markets.
  • Implement and execute sales objectives and action plans to meet and exceed targets.
  • Review direct competition and maintain complete market awareness.
  • Constantly monitor market trends, competitor activities, threats and opportunities.
  • Analyse account production and segment performance, identifying opportunities and implementing strategies.
  • Generate, manage and grow accounts and assigned segments through proactive sales activities.
  • Service customers to drive share of wallet and ensure long term loyalty.
  • Conduct face to face sales calls, telephone calls, site inspections and client entertainment.
  • Plan and execute fam trips on a yearly basis.

Qualifications

  • Senior school qualification.
  • Degree or Higher National Diploma in Hospitality, Hotel Management or Business Management.
  • Minimum two years' experience in a Sales Manager or senior sales role within a luxury or five star hotel environment.
  • Proven track record of achieving revenue targets.
  • Experience representing the hotel at trade shows, sales missions and industry events.
  • Strong commercial acumen with ability to develop and execute sales strategies.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and hotel sales systems.
  • Fluent in English.
