Job Overview

  • Developing and implementing the organization’s safety policy and procedures.
  • Maintaining safety equipment and conducting safety trainings.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulations and laws.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recommend changes to working policies and processes to ensure safe working environment.
  • Devise policies and procedures for fire events, including alarm, fire fighting, and evacuation plans.
  • Conduct safety audits and on site inspections to identify workplace hazards.
  • Plan and coordinate regular fire drills in all hospital areas per quarter per shift.
  • Educate and train workforce on fire fighting, hazardous materials, disaster preparedness, and fire safety.
  • Ensure safety equipment, supplies and resources are available in accordance with regulations.
  • Take command of hospital fire fighting in affected area and lead response team.
  • Maintain and analyze records of workplace injuries to identify areas of concern.
  • Identify potential fire and safety hazards and arrange remedial action.
  • Maintain inventory of safety equipment such as smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, etc.
  • Conduct Major Internal Disaster and Chemical Spill Drills as per JCIA requirements.
  • Conduct quarterly meetings with Safety Coordinators and maintain records.
