Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the organization's safety policy and procedures
- Conduct safety audits and on site inspections to identify workplace hazards
- Educate and train the workforce on safety (e.g., fire fighting, hazardous materials, disaster preparedness)
- Ensure safety equipment, supplies and resources are available in accordance with regulations
- Maintain and analyze records of workplace injuries to identify areas of concern
- Conduct fire drills and emergency drills as per requirements
- Maintain inventory of safety equipment and ensure preventive maintenance
Requirements
- 2 4 years of experience in safety
- Knowledge of fire safety and hazardous materials
- Experience in conducting safety audits and trainings

Job Overview
- Developing and implementing the organization's safety policy and procedures, maintaining safety equipment, and conducting safety trainings so that all employees have a safe working environment and the organization complies with all current and future regulations and laws.
Responsibilities
- Recommend changes to working policies and processes to ensure safety.
- Devise policies and procedures for fire safety, including alarm, fire fighting, and evacuation plans.
- Conduct safety audits and on site inspections to identify workplace hazards and unsafe equipment.
- Plan and coordinate regular fire drills in patient care and non patient care areas.
- Educate and train workforce on fire fighting, hazardous materials, disaster preparedness, and fire safety.
- Ensure safety equipment, supplies and resources are available.
- Take command of hospital fire fighting in affected area and lead response team.
- Maintain and analyze records of workplace injuries.
- Identify potential fire and safety hazards and arrange remedial action.
- Maintain inventory of safety equipment (smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, etc.) and ensure preventive maintenance.
- Conduct Major Internal Disaster and Chemical Spill Drills as per JCIA requirements.
- Conduct quarterly meetings with Safety Coordinators and maintain records.
