Safety Officer - Taqa
Approved on behalf of a prestigious client, based in their Dubai office.
Job Purpose
:
We are seeking a qualified and TAQA-approved Safety Officer responsible for ensuring a safe work environment by implementing health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.
The candidate will monitor site activities, conduct inspections, and ensure compliance with regulatory and company safety standards.
Job Description
- Ensure compliance with TAQA approval requirements, HSE regulations, and company safety standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify hazards.
- Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and emergency response plans.
- Monitor workplace activities to ensure safe practices are followed.
- Conduct safety inductions and training sessions for employees and contractors.
- Investigate incidents and accidents, prepare detailed reports, and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain safety documentation, permits, and records in compliance with legal requirements.
- Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and management on safety-related matters.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Promote a strong safety culture across the organization.
Qualifications & Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or related field.
- **Valid TAQA Approval Certificate (mandatory**
- ).
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a similar role (utilities, construction, or oil & gas preferred).
- Certification in NEBOSH/IOSH or equivalent safety qualification.
- Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and risk management practices.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple site activities.
