NSH Saudi is seeking an experienced Safety Officer for oil and gas, EPC, and construction projects in Saudi Arabia.
The role ensures implementation of HSE standards and safe working practices across project sites.
Key responsibilities
- Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and project safety requirements.
- Conduct site inspections, identify hazards, and address unsafe practices.
- Deliver toolbox talks, safety inductions, and HSE awareness sessions.
- Monitor PTW activities and verify required safety controls.
- Conduct and review risk assessments, JSA/JHA, and HIRA.
- Monitor high-risk work including lifting, hot work, confined spaces, excavation, and scaffolding.
- Ensure PPE compliance and maintain safety reports, checklists, and HSE documentation.
- Investigate incidents and near misses, coordinate corrective actions, and participate in emergency drills.
- Ensure compliance with client and Saudi regulatory HSE requirements and promote safety culture.
Mandatory qualifications
- NEBOSH IGC 3 certification is mandatory.
- At least three years of relevant Safety/HSE experience after completing NEBOSH IGC 3.
- At least five to seven years of overall Safety/HSE experience in oil and gas, EPC, construction, or industrial projects.
- Oil and gas project experience is mandatory.
- A diploma or bachelor's degree in Safety, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- Good knowledge of PTW, risk assessment, JSA/JHA, HIRA, incident investigation, and emergency response.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
Preferred qualifications
- Gulf or Saudi experience may be required depending on the project.
- Experience with Saudi Aramco or client HSE standards is highly preferred.
- IOSH, OSHA, or other relevant HSE certifications are advantageous.
