Role Overview

NSH Saudi is seeking an experienced Safety Officer for Oil and Gas, EPC, and construction projects in Saudi Arabia.

The role ensures implementation of HSE standards and safe working practices.

Location

  • The position is located in Saudi Arabia and involves project site safety activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and project safety requirements.
  • Conduct site safety inspections and identify hazards and unsafe practices.
  • Conduct Toolbox Talks, safety inductions, and HSE awareness sessions.
  • Monitor Permit to Work activities and safety controls.
  • Conduct and review risk assessments, JSA/JHA, and HIRA.
  • Monitor high-risk activities including work at height, lifting, hot work, confined space, excavation, and scaffolding.
  • Ensure PPE use and compliance with site safety procedures.
  • Report and investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions.
  • Maintain safety reports, inspection checklists, and HSE documentation.
  • Coordinate corrective actions with supervisors and project management.
  • Participate in emergency drills and ensure emergency procedures are followed.
  • Ensure client and Saudi regulatory HSE compliance and promote safety culture.

Mandatory Requirements

  • NEBOSH IGC 3 certification is mandatory.
  • At least 3 years of relevant Safety or HSE experience after completing NEBOSH IGC 3 is mandatory.
  • At least 5 to 7 years of overall Safety or HSE experience is required.
  • Oil and Gas project experience is mandatory.
  • A diploma or bachelor's degree in Safety, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • Good knowledge of Permit to Work, risk assessment, JSA/JHA, HIRA, incident investigation, and emergency response is required.
  • Good communication and reporting skills are required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Gulf or Saudi experience may be required or preferred depending on the project.
  • Experience with Saudi Aramco or client HSE standards is highly preferred.
  • IOSH, OSHA, and other relevant HSE certifications are advantageous.
