About the Role
Rosewood Hotels and Resorts seeks a Chief Accountant in Saudi Arabia to manage the General Ledger, prepare journal vouchers, review payroll, and assist with financial reporting. The role requires strong accounting skills and experience in a hotel environment.

Responsibilities
- Maintain the General Ledger and Sub Ledgers including accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Prepare monthly recurring standard, prepaid and accrued expenses journal vouchers
- Review payroll calculation and post labor expense journal in accounting system
- Calculate taxes, benefits and other payroll related expense distributions
- Balance the G/L and S/L monthly and prepare daily bank reconciliations
- Complete all journals and journal vouchers entry and prepare trial balance
- Submit summaries of closing to the Assistant Director of Finance
- Provide guidance in accounting processes and advise management on improvements
- Assist in physical counts of fixed assets and inventories
- Assist with Balance Sheet Reconciliations and prepare documents for auditors
Requirements
- Experience in accounting, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment
- Knowledge of general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
- Proficiency in payroll accounting and tax calculations
- Strong analytical and reconciliation skills

Responsibilities
- Maintain the General Ledger (G/L) and Sub Ledgers (S/L) including accounts receivable and accounts payable ledgers
- Prepare monthly recurring standard, prepaid and accrued expenses journal vouchers
- Review payroll calculation performed by Paymaster and posting the labor expense (payroll journal) in accounting system
- Calculate taxes, benefits and other payroll related expense distributions and prepare the related journal vouchers
- Balance the G/L and S/L monthly matching all G/L balances with S/L balances
- Prepare daily bank reconciliations
- Complete all journals and journal vouchers entry and prepare the trial balance
- Submit summaries of closing to the Assistant Director of Finance
- Provide guidance in accounting processes to other related sections and advise management
- Assist in physical counts of fixed assets and inventories
- Assist the Assistant Director of Finance in the calculation and payment of business and payroll taxes
- Assist with Balance Sheet Reconciliations ensuring all supporting documentation are filed
