- Lead requirement analysis and solution design for new projects and enhancements, working with business users to complete Business Requirement Documents (BRD).
- Collaborate with SI partners, review technical solutions, and guide teams through all project phases, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and effective project delivery.
- Drive requirement analysis and solutioning for new projects and enhancements.
- Manage all phases of projects from Design, Build, Test, and Deploy.
Requirements
- 5 8 years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years in Retail ERP
- Experience in integrations to multiple in house and external systems
- Experience in an Omni channel Retail Business
- Expertise in SAP supporting planning, buying, and merchandising functions
- Strong retail analytics experience (merchandising, customer, inventory, omnichannel)
- Deep expertise in MicroStrategy & Power BI (semantic layer, data modeling, performance tuning)
- Proven track record in data visualization & executive storytelling
- Solid understanding of modern data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, Redshift, etc.)
- Ability to lead and grow a team of BI developers / analysts

Role Summary
- The Business System Manager Retail IT is responsible for supporting and enhancing Retail Business Analytics capabilities to optimize planning, buying, and merchandising functions for Omni channel retail operations.
- This role demands functional and technical expertise to ensure effective support and continuous improvement of critical Business Intelligence applications such as Databricks, Power BI, MicroStrategy and generative AI capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide functional and technical support for Business Intelligence technologies, focusing on planning, buying, and merchandising.
- Ensure effective support to core retail applications (SAP), covering master data management, items, locations, pricing, costing, purchase orders, allocations, transfers, inventory management, replenishment, price management, and markdown management.
- Lead requirement analysis and solution design for new projects and enhancements, working with business users to complete Business Requirement Documents (BRD).
- Collaborate with SI partners, review technical solutions, and guide teams through all project phases, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and effective project delivery.
- Possess technical proficiency in AWS Redshift and Databricks, SAP, and Business Intelligence capabilities like MicroStrategy, Strategy BI and Agentic AI.
Functional and Technical Knowledge
- Expertise in SAP, supporting planning, buying, and merchandising functions for Omni channel retail.
Application Support
- Proven experience in SAP and BI Application
- Master Data Management (Merchandise hierarchy & other master data)
Integration and Customization
- Functional knowledge of ERP & SAP
- Understanding of customizations, extensions, and custom integrations in applications with third party systems.
Problem Solving
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills focused on root cause analysis and preventive fixes.
Project Management
- Drive requirement analysis and solutioning for new projects and enhancements.
- Work with business users to complete Business Requirement Documents (BRD) for new projects and demand.
- Conduct solution walkthrough sessions with SI partners and guide the team across all project phases.
- Review technical solutions, efforts, costs, and timelines provided by SI partners.
- Manage all phases of projects from Design, Build, Test, and Deploy.
- Effective project and stakeholder management skills.
Technical Skills
- Strong retail analytics experience (merchandising, customer, inventory, omnichannel)
- Deep expertise in MicroStrategy & Power BI (semantic layer, data modeling, performance tuning)
- Proven track record in data visualization & executive storytelling
- Experience managing enterprise reporting layers and federated BI environments
- Solid understanding of modern data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, Redshift, etc.)
- Working knowledge of Generative AI & agentic analytics use cases
- Ability to lead and grow a team of BI developers / analysts
- Strong focus on data governance, KPI consistency, and single version of truth
Experience
- 5 8 years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years of Retail ERP is desirable.
- Must have experience in integrations to multiple in house and external systems.
- Must have experience in an Omni channel Retail Business
