Restaurant General Manager – Luxury Fine Dining

Role Overview

Restaurant Operations

• Oversee daily service, food quality, guest experience, and restaurant presentation.
• Maintain luxury hospitality standards and comply with company, food safety, hygiene, health and safety, and UAE regulatory requirements.
• Monitor operational performance and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and profitability.
• Coordinate front-of-house and back-of-house operations with the culinary team.

Guest Experience and Service

• Create exceptional and personalized dining experiences for guests.
• Maintain relationships with VIP guests, regular clientele, and key stakeholders.
• Handle guest feedback and service recovery professionally.
• Ensure refined service etiquette, product knowledge, and attention to detail.

People Leadership

• Lead, coach, and develop restaurant management and service teams.
• Build a service culture focused on professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee manpower planning, recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, and succession planning.
• Set performance expectations and ensure operational and service standards are achieved.

Financial and Commercial Management

• Own the restaurant’s financial and commercial performance.
• Manage P&L, budgets, cost controls, labor costs, and operational expenses.
• Identify revenue opportunities while maintaining the restaurant’s positioning and service standards.
• Monitor business indicators, prepare performance reports, and execute strategies for revenue and profitability targets.

Brand and Business Development

• Collaborate with Marketing and senior management to strengthen market positioning.
• Support events, partnerships, special dining experiences, and other revenue-generating initiatives.
• Track industry trends, competitors, and evolving luxury dining expectations.
• Represent Le Palais and Chinese Palace Group professionally with guests, partners, suppliers, and stakeholders.

Requirements

• 8+ years of progressive restaurant operations experience with significant fine-dining, luxury hospitality, or premium restaurant experience.
• Proven Restaurant General Manager, General Manager, or senior restaurant leadership experience.
• Strong luxury service, guest experience, P&L, budget, labor cost, KPI, leadership, and commercial management experience.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, health and safety, and UAE restaurant regulations.
• International brand, luxury hotel, premium restaurant, and UAE or GCC hospitality experience are desirable or advantageous as specified.
