Job Purpose

  • dnata is a global air and travel services provider operating across 130+ airports in 34 countries.
  • As a Resource Planning Manager, you will take responsibility for short to mid term planning and rostering of resource requirements (staff and equipment) to achieve optimum resource utilisation.
  • You will manage resource planning and rostering services for dnata Airport Operations, Data Systems departments and non Dubai based joint venture projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manager medium to short term forecasting of manpower and equipment resource requirements.
  • Establish a dynamic framework to review rostered resource requirements against the budgeted resource plan.
  • Manage the Resource Management software (e.g. INFORM, Roster Control, or Genesys WFM) applications with responsibility for ongoing maintenance and development initiatives with the vendor and line management.
  • Undertake planning and analysis of additional hours required through contracted labour providers and, where applicable, contact centres.
  • Interface with contract labour providers and, where applicable, Call Centre Managers and establish an appropriate business relationships.
  • Understand the outsourced labour costs in comparison to dnata labour costs, recommend and deliver an appropriate policy for business units to follow.
  • Deliver cost effective services within agreed budgets.
  • Monitor and control costs through effective resource management of staff, equipment and facilities.
  • Manage continual review and adjustment of expenditure to meet fluctuations in demand to deliver savings against budget and forecasts.
  • Drive innovative solutions through team creativity and ensure a collaborative approach with other dnata business units within Airport Operations.
  • Provision of regular reports with analysis of productivity related metrics to be reported on a weekly, monthly and annual basis, plus ad hoc reports as required by senior management.

Qualifications

  • Degree or Honours in a relevant field plus a minimum of 8 years of experience in airport operations or movement control.
  • A minimum of 5 years in a similar position or capacity.
  • Awareness of the following business functions: Ramp Operations / Passenger Services / Baggage Services / Operations Services / GSE / Cargo & Mail services / Data Systems and Communications.
  • Working knowledge of resource management systems essential.
