- Develop and implement strategic vision, objectives, policies, and operational plans for the Resource Center
- Oversee acquisition, cataloguing, classification, preservation, and accessibility of physical and digital resources
- Lead research support services for curators, researchers, and museum staff
- Lead implementation and optimization of library management systems, digital repositories, and discovery platforms
- Establish and maintain partnerships with museums, universities, libraries, and research institutions
- Manage departmental budgets, subscriptions, procurement, contracts, and vendor relationships
- Develop and deliver educational programs, workshops, and knowledge sharing activities
Requirements
- Master's degree or PhD in Library & Information Science, Knowledge Management, Archives Management, Museum Studies, Information Systems, or related discipline
- 10–15 years of progressive experience in library management, archives, information services, knowledge management, or resource center leadership
- Demonstrated experience establishing and managing digital and physical knowledge resources
- Experience leading digital transformation initiatives and implementing library technologies
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams
- Experience within museums, cultural institutions, universities, research centers, or heritage organizations is highly desirable

Role Overview
- The Resource Center Unit Head is responsible for strategic leadership, development, and management of the Museum’s Resource Center.
- Ensures it serves as a leading knowledge hub supporting research, exhibitions, collections, education, publications, and public engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic vision, objectives, policies, and operational plans for the Resource Center.
- Lead continuous enhancement of resource center services, facilities, and user experience.
- Establish governance frameworks, standards, and procedures for knowledge and information management.
- Monitor emerging trends in library science, digital transformation, archives, and research services.
- Oversee acquisition, cataloguing, classification, preservation, and accessibility of physical and digital resources.
- Manage research collections, archives, special collections, and digital repositories.
- Ensure compliance with international metadata, cataloguing, indexing, and classification standards.
- Lead research support services for curators, researchers, fellows, visiting scholars, and museum staff.
- Facilitate access to research databases, archives, publications, and specialized information resources.
- Lead implementation and optimization of library management systems, digital repositories, and discovery platforms.
- Oversee digitization initiatives and long term digital preservation strategies.
- Establish and maintain partnerships with museums, universities, libraries, research institutions, publishers, and cultural organizations.
Qualifications
- Master's degree or PhD in Library & Information Science, Knowledge Management, Archives Management, Museum Studies, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- 10–15 years of progressive experience in library management, archives, information services, knowledge management, or resource center leadership.
