Job Description
Reservations Agent position based at Beach Rotana Hotel.
The role supports smooth and efficient reservation service and delivers high levels of customer service to guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and confirm guest room reservations received by phone, letter, or fax.
- Enter reservations into the computer and record all pertinent information.
- Respond to inquiries, complaints, and requests regarding reservations.
- Stay current on hotel promotions, rates, confirmations, facilities, and reservation procedures.
- Apply rate management and maintain complete product knowledge.
- Maintain filing systems and prepare reports as required by the Reservations Manager or Supervisor.
- Promote good public relations and help maximize business.
- Maintain accurate room status at all times.
- Answer incoming calls according to Rotana standards and process fax and email information.
- Organize hotel guest visa requests according to hotel policy and upsell when opportunities arise.
Education and Experience
- A diploma or degree within the hospitality field is expected.
- Previous experience in hotel reservations is required.
- Computer literacy and excellent written and oral English proficiency are required.
- Additional language skills are an asset.
Knowledge and Competencies
- Customer focus and a proactive, courteous, dynamic, and approachable character are expected.
- Work effectively with professionalism and establish relationships with internal and external customers.
- Work independently within a structured environment.
- Relevant competencies include teamwork, taking responsibility, recognising differences, adaptability, and customer focus.
