Job Description
The Carpenter role is part of the hotel's maintenance function and is based at Beach Rotana Abu Dhabi.
The role focuses on constructing, installing, maintaining, and repairing wood, plywood, and wallboard structures and fixtures.
Responsibilities
- Carry out maintenance and repair works as required.
- Perform day-to-day carpentry maintenance within the hotel building.
- Repair shelving, cabinets, door locks, security items, windows, and glazing.
- Perform partition woodworking and minimal general building work.
- Remove damaged or defective structural parts and repair or replace them using hand tools.
- Finish woodwork or wallboard surfaces using paint, hand tools, and paneling.
- Fill, patch, and sand cracks and other defects in plaster or plasterboard.
- Follow country technical regulations and safety standards.
Education, Qualifications and Experience
- The ideal candidate is a skilled carpenter.
- High school qualification is preferred.
- Knowledge of carpentry, building maintenance, workplace safety, and safe lifting and handling procedures is expected.
- A good command of English and the ability to find faults and rectify systems are essential.

- Self-motivated, proactive, reliable, and flexible approach.
- Ability to adapt to unpredictable events and remain calm under pressure.
- Attention to detail, customer focus, teamwork, adaptability, and responsibility.
