Role Overview
Reinsurance Manager role for an insurance client in the UAE.
The role covers treaty administration, reinsurance accounting and settlements, recoveries, reinsurer relationships, and Re-Takaful arrangements.
The position also provides exposure to reinsurance strategy, portfolio stabilization, capacity management, and stakeholder coordination.
Core Responsibilities
- Manage accounting and financial reporting for reinsurance transactions, treaty accounts, settlement statements, recoverables, balances, reconciliations, and settlements.
- Administer treaty arrangements, including treaty accounts, bordereaux, notices, documentation, special acceptance records, and reinsurance registers.
- Coordinate recovery submissions, reinsurer notifications, and recovery processes with relevant business functions.
Relationships and Reporting
- Act as a liaison with reinsurers, Re-Takaful operators, brokers, and intermediaries.
- Prepare periodic management reports on treaty performance, recoveries, and reinsurance activities.
- Coordinate with Finance on treaty settlements, balances, and accounting matters.
- Identify and escalate material treaty compliance or operational issues to management.
