A strategic HR solutions firm is hiring an Assistant Manager Finance for an insurance client in the UAE.
The role supports financial operations, insurance-company reconciliations, claim payments, cash flow management, budgeting, and financial reporting.
Key responsibilities
- Manage insurance company accounts, reconciliations, invoicing, collections, and ageing.
- Oversee financial processing and settlement of claim payments.
- Coordinate with Operations, Claims, and Legal teams on financial and insurance-related matters.
- Support court-appointed experts with financial records, calculations, and documentation when required.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and cash flow monitoring.
- Supervise junior finance staff and support process improvements and internal controls.
- Ensure accurate financial records and compliance with applicable accounting standards.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- CPA, ACCA, CMA, or an equivalent qualification completed or in progress.
- Four to six years of progressive finance or accounting experience within an insurance company.
- Experience with claim payments and insurance-related financial operations is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting, and reconciliations.
- Experience with Oracle, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics and advanced Excel.
- Strong communication, analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Fluency in English and Arabic is required.
