Role Overview
The IT Development Manager leads software development, application architecture, IT governance, and technology initiatives.
The role focuses on secure, scalable, efficient systems and technology solutions aligned with business needs.
Development and Architecture
- Lead software development and application initiatives, ensuring scalable, secure, and reliable solutions.
- Manage application architecture, technology standards, and development frameworks.
- Drive improvements in system performance, security, automation, and overall technology efficiency.
Governance, Risk, and Compliance
- Oversee IT governance, risk management, controls, and technology compliance requirements.
- Identify and address application, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and technology risks and vulnerabilities.
- Support IT audits, ITGC reviews, regulatory requirements, risk assessments, and control-framework implementation.
Technology Strategy and Collaboration
- Develop and execute technology roadmaps aligned with business objectives.
- Collaborate with senior management and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, including AI and machine learning and other digital solutions, where relevant to business needs.
Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor technical teams while ensuring quality development practices, documentation, testing, and code standards.
Qualifications and Experience
- A bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field is required.
- The role requires 8–14 years of experience across IT, software development, technology management, or related areas.
- Strong experience in software development, system architecture, IT governance, and technology risk is required.
- Experience supporting IT audits, compliance, risk assessments, and control frameworks is required.
Technical Knowledge
- Knowledge of IT general controls, cybersecurity, information security, and ISO standards is required.
- Strong understanding of application architecture, databases, APIs, cloud technologies, and modern development practices is required.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving skills are required.
