Requirements
- Graduate of a recognized college or school of nursing or equivalent
- Registered in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
- Current Basic Life Support certification
- Medication Administration Certificate and experience within the last year
- Demonstrated knowledge and ability to care for acute patients with various care needs (IV therapy, medication administration, enteral feeds, TPN, blood transfusion, etc.)
- Computer skills including typing, email, and Microsoft applications
- Positive work and attendance record

Job Description
- The Inpatient Medicine & ICU Program at THP consists of more than 350 beds across CVH & MH, staffed by large interprofessional teams supporting complex medicine patients.
- Reporting to a Clinical Manager, the ideal candidate will provide excellent patient centered care in a dynamic environment.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a recognized college or school of nursing or equivalent
- Registered in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
- Able to function to full scope of practice as per CNO
- Current Basic Life Support certification
- Medication Administration Certificate and experience with administration of medication within the last year required
- Demonstrated knowledge and ability to care for acute patients with various care needs
- Computer skills including typing, sending and receiving email and Microsoft applications
- Positive work and attendance record
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years acute care medical/surgical experience preferred
- Physical assessment course
- Experience with acute care medicine patient populations
- Experience in providing patient and family educational teaching
- Effective interpersonal, communication, organizational and problem solving skills
- Evidence of ongoing professional development
- Experience with Meditech and/or Sunrise Clinical Manager
