Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi is hiring a Refrigeration Technician within its Engineering Department.
The role is responsible for operating, maintaining, and repairing hotel refrigeration and air-conditioning equipment to ensure optimum operating efficiency.
The Refrigeration Technician reports to the Refrigeration Engineer.
Key responsibilities
- Repair and maintain walk-in cold rooms, freezer rooms, and other commercial or industrial refrigeration equipment.
- Perform preventive refrigeration and routine maintenance.
- Repair and maintain electrical control systems for refrigeration equipment.
- Respond to guest maintenance requests within 15 minutes of receipt.
- Maintain a clean and tidy appearance before entering guestrooms or public areas.
- Keep plant rooms, workshops, and related areas clean and tidy.
- Observe prescribed safety standards and help maintain safe conditions for self and others.
- Perform related duties and assigned special projects.
- Coordinate with other departments for functions, promotions, and festivities.
Requirements
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience operating, maintaining, and repairing refrigeration and air-conditioning systems.
- Hotel or hospitality environment experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, chillers, refrigerators, freezers, cold rooms, and related equipment.
- Knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance procedures.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical faults efficiently.
