About the Role
Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi is seeking a Hostess to join the Food & Beverage team.
The Hostess welcomes restaurant guests and seats them according to their wishes.
The role reports to the Assistant Restaurant Manager.
Responsibilities
- Set up tabletops and the hostess desk according to restaurant and hotel standards.
- Keep tabletop items, menus, drinks lists, and guest collateral clean and undamaged.
- Arrange seating according to the reservation book and Restaurant Manager requirements.
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and courteous manner.
- Handle telephone bookings and inquiries.
- Assist with service as required by the Restaurant Manager.
- Inform restaurant managers of guest comments and complaints.
- Assist with guest history records.
- Attend meetings, briefings, and training sessions.
- Maintain neat uniform, grooming, and personal hygiene standards.
Expectations
- Previous experience in the same role in a luxury hotel is preferred.
- Resort experience is an advantage.
- Strong communication and customer service skills are expected.
- Additional language skills are advantageous.
- Proficiency in Italian and Russian is highly preferred.
