Recreation Supervisor

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee opening, closing, operational readiness, cleanliness, safety, and functionality across recreation areas.
• Supervise the Kids Club, lifeguards, reception, and housekeeping teams.
• Act as Duty Manager when senior management is absent and manage member experience and incidents.
• Lead, coach, motivate, and develop team members while identifying training needs.
• Plan recreational programs, activities, and events and coordinate their on-day execution with relevant teams and clients.
• Build member relationships, resolve feedback and complaints, and continuously improve service.
• Support revenue through upselling, promotions, and utilization initiatives.
• Monitor utilization, member feedback, operational performance, incident records, and performance data.
• Assist with scheduling and rostering and support the Assistant Country Club Manager with operational tasks.
• Ensure health, safety, hygiene, risk assessment, and emergency response requirements are met.

Skills and Experience

• Proven supervisory experience in hospitality, leisure, or recreation is required.
• Strong leadership, team management, operational coordination, communication, and interpersonal skills are required.
• The role requires a guest-focused mindset, attention to detail, proactive problem-solving, and composure under pressure.
• Experience managing multi-department teams and analyzing performance data is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• First Aid certification is desirable.
• Experience in luxury or member-focused environments is preferred.
• Experience working with children or delivering children’s programs is preferred.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations is preferred.
