Role Overview

Guest Interaction and Reservations

• Greet guests, escort them to tables, and present menus as needed.
• Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests promptly and courteously.
• Provide accurate information about menus, promotions, and restaurant services.
• Manage reservations through phone, walk-ins, email, and reservation systems.
• Maintain seating charts, organize table allocation, and monitor table turnover.
• Coordinate with supervisors and waitstaff to ensure smooth guest flow.

Operational Support

• Keep the hostess desk, entrance area, and menus clean and presentable.
• Assist service staff with basic tasks during peak hours.
• Communicate guest allergies, celebrations, preferences, VIP arrivals, large groups, and special requests to the team.
• Support the Restaurant Manager with daily briefings and service preparations.
• Report operational issues and guest concerns promptly.

Standards and Administration

• Uphold grooming, hygiene, and service standards according to Dubai hospitality guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records of reservations, cancellations, and no-shows.
• Protect guest privacy and follow confidentiality protocols.
• Participate in team meetings and required training.

Qualifications and Skills

• Previous Hostess or Guest Service Agent experience in a restaurant or hotel environment is preferred.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and multitasking skills are required.
• Reservation system knowledge is an advantage, including OpenTable, SevenRooms, or ResDiary.
• Fluency in English is required; Arabic, Russian, or French is a plus.
• A customer-focused attitude, professional appearance, and ability to remain calm during busy periods are required.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays is required.
• Ability to stand for long periods is required.
