Role overview
The role supports reception operations for the health club, pool, beach, and recreation facilities.
The position is intended for a dynamic and self-motivated recreation professional.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee reservations, payment, and tracking procedures for pool, beach, and recreation facilities.
- Create a warm welcome and friendly atmosphere for guests and members.
- Issue and retrieve locker keys and towels before and after use.
- Promote club classes, activities, and available services.
- Post charges in Micros and complete correct accounting procedures.
- Assist the Fitness Instructor with member and guest safety procedures.
- Check locker facilities periodically for cleanliness and order.
- Keep the reception area tidy and maintain supplies such as towels, newspapers, magazines, and advertising materials.
- Encourage sales through knowledge of available facilities, products, and prices.
Education and experience
- A diploma or degree in hospitality is ideally preferred.
- Previous work experience within a hotel is ideally preferred.
- Computer skills are an advantage.
Knowledge and competencies
- Good written and verbal English communication skills are essential.
- Strong interpersonal abilities and excellent guest service skills are required.
- The candidate should be customer driven and able to handle complaints.
- The role requires a positive, outgoing, approachable, and adaptable character.
- The candidate should work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- The role requires teamwork and effective collaboration with multicultural teams and guests.
- Additional competencies include understanding the job, taking responsibility, recognising differences, adaptability, and customer focus.
