Role Purpose
- Perform periodic reconciliation of Central Bank and Nostro accounts and daily monitoring of exception reports.
- Conduct end of month review of GL accounts reconciliation and escalate outstanding entries.
- Monitor ADIB staff accounts credit transactions as a detective control activity.
Key Accountabilities
- Perform Central Bank and Nostro reconciliations as per procedures.
- Ensure timely submission of account reconciliations.
- Conduct EOM reviews of reconciliations and validate issues.
- Monitor exception reports including manual postings, GL balances, and overdrawn accounts.
- Monitor high risk GL accounts and report outstanding entries.
- Perform reconciliation of MAP/GL accounts under ICD ownership.
- Report and escalate outstanding entries to respective departments.
- Conduct daily transaction monitoring of staff accounts.
- Track and follow up on issues until closure.
- Investigate and respond to inquiries from various departments.
- Review GL/MAP accounts with zero balance and no activity for closure.
- Prepare MIS dashboards for unreconciled accounts.
Specialist Skills / Technical Knowledge
- Accounting, MS Office, Banking products and services.
- ADIB Application (Intellimatch, EThix, etc).
Results Required
- Unreconciled entries are timely detected, reported, escalated, and corrected.
- Reconciliation issues are timely reported and escalated.
- ICD procedures and work instructions are strictly followed.
- Reconciliation activity runs with no major interruption.
Dimensions
- ICD Reconciliation Team is global based in ADIB Head Office.
- Team is part of detective control line of defense.
- Team provides technical guidance and assistance.
- Central point of contact for Central Bank examiners and audits.
