React Native Developer

Job Summary

Application Integration

• Integrate account information, onboarding, authentication, transfers, payments, beneficiaries, transactions, cards, notifications, and digital banking services.
• Work with enterprise integration layers, API gateways, middleware, backend services, and cross-functional technical teams.

Security

• Implement secure authentication and authorization using mechanisms such as OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, MFA, and biometrics where applicable.
• Protect data in transit and at rest and use secure storage for credentials, tokens, and sensitive information.
• Address vulnerabilities identified through security assessments, penetration testing, and code reviews.

API and Performance

• Consume REST and JSON services and handle authentication, errors, timeouts, retries, validation, asynchronous operations, and real-time communication.
• Improve responsiveness, memory usage, startup time, rendering, state management, API calls, animations, and large-data performance.
• Monitor and troubleshoot crashes, ANRs, memory leaks, and device or operating-system compatibility issues.

Native Mobile Development

• Work with Android Studio, Gradle, Xcode, CocoaPods, and native dependencies.
• Maintain native modules and troubleshoot platform-specific functionality using basic Kotlin, Java, Swift, or Objective-C concepts.

Testing and Quality Assurance

• Write unit, integration, and component tests using Jest, React Native Testing Library, Detox, or equivalent tools.
• Participate in functional, regression, integration, performance, and security testing and collaborate with QA teams to resolve defects.
• Use peer reviews, automated testing, and continuous integration to maintain code quality.

CI/CD and Release Management

• Support automated mobile builds, testing, and deployment through CI/CD pipelines.
• Support Google Play Console and Apple App Store or TestFlight releases, environment configuration, versioning, rollback, and production deployment.

Production Support

• Investigate production incidents affecting mobile banking applications and implement permanent corrective actions.
• Monitor crashes, errors, API failures, and performance issues and collaborate with infrastructure, backend, security, DevOps, and support teams.

Mandatory Skills and Experience

• At least five years of professional software or mobile application development experience.
• At least five years of hands-on React Native experience with enterprise-grade mobile applications.
• Strong JavaScript, TypeScript, React Native, Redux or Redux Toolkit, REST API, and mobile architecture experience.
• Experience developing and debugging applications on both Android and iOS.
• Strong mobile security, automated testing, Git, CI/CD, and mobile release process knowledge.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant computer science, software engineering, information technology, or related technical field.

Preferred Technical Skills

• React Navigation, Reanimated, Gesture Handler, Firebase, biometric authentication, secure storage, deep linking, offline synchronization, or WebSockets experience is preferred.
• Native Android or iOS development and Kotlin, Java, Swift, or Objective-C experience are preferred.
• Fastlane experience is preferred; Docker, Kubernetes, microservices, or API gateway experience is an advantage.
• Banking, fintech, payments, digital banking, or financial services experience is highly preferred.
• Relevant professional certifications are an advantage.
